We are a regional sustainability network, aimed at both service providers and commissioners, primarily within Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk. With the key focus on sharing experience and expertise, the group aim is to take forward the National Sustainable Development Strategy through various initiatives including collaborative projects and regular topical masterclasses.

Our Work Pan for 2017-18 will be finalised shortly, but a regular feature will be a quarterly Masterclass followed by a group meeting at Victoria House, Fulbourn.

22 June 2017 Adaptation Planning
This session will explore the need for appropriate adaptation planning and will aim to provide practical on drafting, adopting ad implementing an adaptation plan.
You do not need to be a member of our network to attend any of our Masterclasses or meetings – we are keen to engage with a wide audience of individuals interested in the sustainability agenda.
March 2017 Masterclass – Health Promotion in the Workplace
The well attended session focused on preventative action, looking at the ways and benefits of actively promoting staff wellbeing in the workplace.
Speakers covered this key topic from different aspects – presentations below useful facts and ideas, you may be able to incorporate in your own activity programme.
Neil Wood , Health & Wellbeing Programme Manager at PHE, NHS staff spoke on the link between health promotion and sustainability, including the impact of CQUIN, The role of Sustainability and Transformation Plans and the drive towards a Smoke free NHS.
Lynn Mowforth, Working Well in Essex – PROVIDE, outlined the invaluable work they are doing with local employers, providing free support ranging from confidential staff surveys to training Health Champions.
Gill Lee and Kirsty Mainds, Sustainability Leads from Norfolk & Suffolk and East & North Herts respectively, updated on the range of initiatives on offer within the trusts, covering physical and mental wellbeing.
During 2017/18 we will be working closely with the SDU, NHS Scotland and Nottingham University to update the Good Corporate Citizen assessment tool.
