We are a new regional sustainability network, aimed at both service providers and commissioners, primarily within Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk. With the key focus on sharing experience and expertise, the group aim is to take forward the National Sustainable Development Strategy through various initiatives including collaborative projects and regular topical masterclasses.
Our Work Pan for 2016-17 will be finalised shortly, but a regular feature will be a quarterly Masterclass followed by a group meeting at Victoria House, Fulbourn.
The Masterclass on ‘Models of Care’ featured a presentation by Jerome Baddley, Head of Unit at the SDU (presentation below.) and the following are planned for the coming year –

We will also be running two major Working Group projects around –
- Refining and shortening the GCC assessment tool

Meeting 7 June - Commissioning Masterclass
Dr Fiona Head, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group, spoke on the challenges of delivering sustainable healthcare through an accountable, integrated system of care that ensures value for money today and the future.
From a provider perspective, Elisabeth Podd, Deputy Director of Commissioning at Mid Essex NHS Trust looked at the typical Trust ‘commissioning ‘ structure and led discussion on how sustainability managers can engage with their local commissioning teams
