Route Map Event and Sustainable Health Report launch

The SDU launched the Sustainable Development in Health report to a packed room in London on 28 January. The launch was part of the SDU’s biannual Route Map event which brings delegates from across the NHS, public health, local government and private sector.

The event’s objectives are below but you can also download a full agenda from the day, along with presentations, at the bottom of the page.

  • Launching the Sustainable Development in Health report
  • Further thinking about the financial benefits of sustainable development
  • Case studies of good practice and networking

Special guests at the event were Martin Reeves, Chief Executive of Coventry City Council and Chair of Cross System Group for Sustainable Development in Health and Dr Gina Radford, Deputy Chief Medical Officer at the Department of Health.

Martin Reeves, who is also Chair of Cross System Group for Sustainable Development in Health, spoke passionately about the great achievements in cutting emissions, the importance of the sustainable development agenda in health and local government and strong leadership.

Dr Radford celebrated the success and hard work of the people in the room and reflected on her experiences at the Paris climate talks in November and December 2015.

The SDU would like to hosts Arcadis who kindly donated use of the venue.
