Route map event - 6 July 2016



Over 70 delegates, speakers and other guests gathered at Medicity, Nottingham for the SDU’s summer event on 6 July. 

The event explored the opportunities for organisations, teams and individuals across the health sector to save money, improve health and help the environment. The event will include the launch of the SDU's new report - Realising the financial benefits of sustainable development.

Several sessions will focus on sustainable procurement with delegates invited to help develop the SDU’s approach to supporting this area of work.

Event objectives:

  • Launching the SDU’s new report – Realising the financial value of sustainable development
  • Exploring the opportunities for sustainable procurement – including interactive workshops
  • Sharing good practice and case studies
  • Networking with colleagues working in similar roles and areas

Thanks to everyone who completed the travel question when registering. We had 59 delegates with an average distance (for those who filled in the form) of 147 km and 18.7 kgCO2e.

The total travel is therefore 1100 kgCO2e (which is about 1 tonne of carbon dioxide equivalent) for 8.7 thousand kilometres.
