Community Health Partnerships

Board Commitment

We will contribute to the NHS's vision of a sustainable health and care system by embedding sustainable practices in all that we do and establish this within our Core Values.  We will work with our stakeholders to encourage them to share our values and support our sustainability objectives.

Internal commitments

Strategic Estate planning team working with partners to deliver the efficiencies identified within STP's as well the Strategic Estate plans developed for CCG's. Committed to investing in new Public Private Partnerships that will build on our current investment.
Work to deliver an annual programme of variations that reconfigures buildings to create high quality, usable space for tenants that generates efficiencies. "Passive house" project led by our innovation team to create a future model of self-sustainable properties.
Staff encouraged to act and think economically – initiatives include teleconferencing facilities, avoiding unnecessary printing and Cycle Scheme.

Influence through remit

Energy reports are supplied to CHP on a bi-annual basis.  This details energy consumption within properties and recommendations to further reduce this.  The recently established Energy Committee will work to ensure all efficiencies within CHP's direct control are actioned as well as influencing our partners with regards to initiatives under their own remit.  The committee will work with tenants, sharing energy use data to advise on energy saving decisions.
